I photograph weddings and elopements throughout Ontario, with a special focus on Collingwood, South Georgian Bay, and the GTA. To me, photography isn’t just about how things look—it’s about how they feel. I want you to experience your wedding images, not just see them. To be transported back to the laughter, the quiet in-between moments, and the overwhelming joy of the day. A moment turned heirloom for you and your loved ones to cherish for generations.
Beautiful, emotive photographs should never come at the expense of an incredible experience. You deserve both. My approach is effortless and intuitive, allowing you to be fully present while I document your day with artistry, authenticity, and intention.
I take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure every couple receives my full attention and artistry—because of this, my schedule fills up quickly.

Don’t worry, I’ve got your backs. While I stay true to an unobtrusive style of documenting, I do offer guidance when it comes to locations, what to wear, how to prepare, and even what to do with your hands.

I'm a classically trained photographer who spent way too much time in the darkroom throughout high school and University. I started Frances Beatty Photography in 2014, and went full time in September 2015. I have shot over 300 weddings.

Music to my ears! I am a film nerd. I freaking love shooting on film and have film packages we can talk about. All weddings include some film. If you’d like more than a couple rolls, we can beef up your film package.
My favourite thing to shoot with is vintage Polaroid cameras and super 8, but I also have 35mm, and medium format.

Do I! I would never leave anything to chance when it comes to your memories. I have backup camera bodies, lenses, memory cards, batteries, and duplicates of all your images.
I typically shoot with two cameras, each recording to two memory cards. I back-up all of my files to multiple drives.

A second shooter is definitely an option, though I do usually work solo. For intimate weddings or elopements, it may not always be necessary, but of course you can still have one, if you wish.

Once we've had a chat and you're excited that I'm the one, shoot me an email and let me know which package you would like. I'll have myself a happy dance and then send you over a quote. In order to lock in the date, I need a signed contract and a retainer. Retainers are 40% of the package you choose. You can pay your retainer by EMT.

I am a people based photographer. That’s where my passion lies. I photograph weddings, elopements, portraits, families, maternity, events and the occasional branding session.

Yes & no. I shoot short films on super 8 video. My dad and best friend introduced me to super 8 when I was a kid and I’ve been obsessed ever since. You can see examples of my work HERE.
I don’t currently offer digital videography or drone.
